We know that as Independent Retailers, you're committed to making sure your customers can get any product they'd like. Spellbinders does offer exclusive products from time to time, including the popular Lilac Shimmer Scout. While we can't offer this products at the same Wholesale rate you're used to getting, Retailers can now participate in the Spellbinders Afflilate Program in order to offer your customers the ultimate selection.

How It Works:

  • Sign up for Commission Junction, indicating that you are a Wholesale Retailer
  • Create a custom cookied link for purchases on the Spellbinders website (and UK site!)
  • Orders placed after clicking the cookied link will recieve a 10% commission

Ways to Use It:

  • You can place an order for customers using the cookied link and have it sent to you to recieve a commission and get customers back into the store
  • You can place an order on behalf of your customer using the cookied link and have it sent directly to them
  • You can provide a cookied link to customers who can then order directly, still getting commission for the sale

Accepting Program Terms

Once you join, Yana will assign you to the correct % group and then you'll need to navigate to: Partners - Pending Offers and ACCEPT the new offer.

To accept the offer, find Spellbinders in the list, hover over the offer and click "Accept Offer."

Once you do join, please be patient. It may take some time before the work is done on the back end.

Links from Commission Junction are long, so it's a good idea to use a link shortener before sharing your link. Some good options are https://tinyurl.com and https://bitly.com

FAQ

How long do links last?

Each link will last for 30 days after the customer clicks it. Links can be used indefinely, but the cookies will only last in thier browser for 30 days. A

Do I only get commission for a specific linked product?

Nope! You'll get a commission for all items in a customer's cart after they have clicked your cooked link.

Do links override one another?

Yes. When a sale is made on the Spellbinders website, the most recently clicked cookied link will earn the commission. 

For example, if a customer clicks your link and begins a cart, then clicks a link from Jennifer Maguire shortly after, Jennifer would earn the commission for the sale. And vice versa.

How do I get paid?

Payments are made on a certain day each month, after the minimum threshhold has been exceeded. You can select your preferred threshhold. You will need to set up your payment settings to determine where payments are paid out.

What about taxes?

The affiliate program operates similarly to how independent contractors function. After a $600 annual threshold, affiliates will be issued a 1099. When signing up for the program, you will need to enter a tax ID number. Whether you choose to attribute sales to yourself personally or the store is up to you.

Do I have the option to use my own shipping?

No. All shipping costs will be calculated by the Spellbinders website. Third-party shipping is not an option.

However, the domestic free shipping threshold is only $100 for orders placed on the SpellbindersPaperArts.com site.

What if I don't get credit for a sale that I know was made with my link?

If you have all the order information, you can create a claim. The Spellbinders team will review the order and give you credit if the order is not attributed to someone else's link.

How long does it take before I get credited for a sale made with my cookied link?

There is a two-hour delay before clicks are shown as attributable to you in Commission Junction.

Do links work across country borders?

Yes! If you are in Canada and send a cookied link to a US customer, or vice versa, you will earn commission on the sale. 

Can I use the affiliate program if I am in the UK?

Yes! Spellbinders has a UK website, so you can create links to the UK site the same as you would to the US site.

How many links can I create?

As many as you like! You can create links with custom labels to track specific customers, or to track sales from various platforms.
